**Why it was chosen:** The cantilever design suited this bar and seating layout by keeping the pole clear of the counter and stools while still providing wide overhead shade.

This outdoor bar and seating area in Dubai was fitted with a Familyflex cantilever umbrella, positioned on a granite base to one side of the patio. The offset pole design allows the canopy to extend fully over the bar counter and stools without an obstructing centre post.

The umbrella's large canopy provides shade across the tiled bar top and seating, complementing the adjacent outdoor kitchen and mosaic-tiled counter. Its cantilever arm and rotating mechanism allow the canopy to be angled to follow the sun through the day.

Finished in a neutral stone tone, the umbrella blends with the surrounding beige tiling and render, giving the outdoor bar area reliable shade for everyday use.
