Pergolas and Awnings for a Villa in Damac Hills

In a recent project at a villa in Damac Hills, Dubai, we transformed a large poolside area by installing a combination of pergolas and awnings, each designed for durability, ease of use, and modern aesthetics.

A Mix of Pergolas for Maximum Comfort

To create shaded areas with versatile control, we installed both Liwa Fixed Roof Pergolas and Sierra Bioclimatic Pergolas, designed to complement the villa’s exterior style.

• Liwa Fixed Roof Pergolas: These UAE-made structures provide permanent shade. Constructed from powder-coated aluminium, they are built to withstand the region’s weather conditions while enhancing the villa’s architectural appeal.
• Sierra Bioclimatic Pergolas: Also UAE-made, these pergolas feature adjustable louvres for flexible light and airflow control. Integrated with Somfy motorised systems, they allow the owner to adjust the settings with ease, ensuring comfort throughout the day. The aluminium frames, finished with a durable powder coating, maintain a sleek and polished appearance for years to come.

Retractable Awnings for Dynamic Shade

To offer more control over shaded areas, we installed two Storebox S300 retractable awnings. These awnings provide adjustable coverage when needed and can be retracted to open up the space. Unlike the pergolas, the awnings are built with a focus on mobility and are not powder-coated. They are also equipped with Somfy motorisation, allowing smooth operation with the push of a button.

Lighting the Space with Control and Ambience

To enhance both functionality and ambience, we installed LED lights across all pergolas and awnings. These lights can be remotely controlled, enabling the homeowner to set the perfect atmosphere, whether for daytime gatherings or evening relaxation by the pool.

Blending Design with Functionality

A key objective of this project was to seamlessly integrate shading solutions with the villa’s contemporary design. We carefully tailored the size, frame colour, and structure of each installation to match the property’s overall aesthetic. The result is a harmonious outdoor space that serves both form and function.
