Wave Shade Pergola at a Luxury Villa in Arabian Ranches, Dubai

The Shading Company installed a Wave Shade Pergola at a luxury villa in Arabian Ranches, Dubai.Positioned by the pool and extending into the lawn, this pergola enhances the outdoor living space, offering a stylish and functional shading solution.  The space includes a barbeque station and dining setting (not part of our scope), with the pergola adding an important functional layer for shade and convenience.

Client’s Requirements
The homeowners were looking for a flexible shading system that would integrate well with their poolside and lawn, offering shade during the day and the ability to retract the canopy when needed. They requested a manual system that would give them full control over the amount of sunlight in the area.

Our Solution: Dual Wave Shade Pergola
We installed a dual Wave Shade Pergola, designed as a free-standing structure with six poles to cover the large outdoor space. The system features a manually retractable canopy, which allows the homeowners to open and close it as desired.

Key aspects of the installation included:

• Manual Retraction: The dual pergola uses a pulley cable system for manual retraction, making it easy to adjust the canopy based on the time of day or weather conditions.
• Spotlights: Integrated LED spotlights were added, providing functional lighting for the evening, ensuring the space is usable after sunset.
• Durable Fabric: The shading canopy is made from acrylic solution-dyed fabric, known for its durability and UV protection, ensuring long-lasting performance under the Dubai sun.

Key Features of the Wave Shade Pergola

• Customisable Structure: This dual pergola was designed to fit the villa’s poolside and lawn area. With six poles for stability, it covers a large section, offering ample shade for outdoor activities. The structure can span up to 500 cm by 500 cm per module.
• Powder-Coated Aluminium Frame: The pergola’s frame is constructed from 15×15 cm aluminium profiles and was powder-coated in a finish that complements the villa’s aesthetic.
• Manual or Motorised Options: Although this installation features manual operation, the Wave Shade Pergola can also be motorised with a Somfy motor for remote control and effortless use.
• Additional Options: The system can be integrated with weather sensors to automatically close the canopy during rain or strong winds, and there is an option for mobile control. The LED lighting ensures that the pergola remains functional and comfortable in the evenings.

The dual Wave Shade Pergola added a practical and stylish solution to the villa’s outdoor area. The retractable feature allows the homeowners to customise the shade as needed, while the integrated lighting provides a comfortable atmosphere for evening gatherings.
