Retractable Storbox S-300 Awning Installed in Arabian Ranches, Dubai

This 6x3m retractable awning was installed over an outdoor seating area in Arabian Ranches, providing shade on demand while keeping the space open when not in use. The anthracite frame and Marfil Sauleda fabric give the awning a neutral finish that suits the surrounding architecture.

The awning is operated by a Somfy motor, allowing the cover to be extended or retracted at the touch of a button. A Somfy Eolis 3D IO wind sensor was also fitted, automatically retracting the awning in strong winds to protect the fabric and frame from damage.

The result is a low-maintenance shading solution that can be used throughout the year, with automated safety features reducing the need for manual monitoring.
