Can you repair my umbrella or replace the canopy in Dubai?

13 October 2026

Centre pole umbrella with a new ecru canopy

"Our umbrella's canopy has faded after a few summers and one of the arms is stiff. Can you repair it, or do we need a new one?"

Villa owner, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai

Yes, for the brands we supply. Our technicians repair the umbrella models we sell, and we supply replacement canopies and spare parts. We do not repair other brands of umbrella. Send us photos of the problem and the model, and we will tell you whether it needs a repair or a new canopy.

What we can fix

On the umbrellas and awnings we sell, our service team handles the most common problems.

Umbrellas

  • Hubs, the central part the ribs open from
  • Ribs and support arms that are bent or broken
  • Fabric: faded, torn or stained canopies replaced in the original fabric or a new colour

Awnings

  • Arms that are bent or no longer hold the awning open
  • Fabric, replaced with a new cover in the same or a new colour
  • Support brackets that fix the awning to the wall

Awning repairs usually cost more than umbrella repairs, so we always confirm the price before we start.

Many repairs are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Glatz umbrellas, for example, have a 2-year warranty, and we handle the claim for you. See warranty for what is and isn't covered.

Replacement canopies

After years in the UAE sun, the frame is often still in good condition while the fabric has faded. A new canopy is much cheaper than a new umbrella and makes it look new again.

How to get a quote

  1. Send us photos of the whole umbrella and of the problem, on WhatsApp or through our enquiry form.
  2. Tell us the brand and model. It is usually on a label on the pole or the base. Include your invoice if you bought it from us.
  3. We tell you whether it is a repair, a new canopy or a spare part, with the price and timing.

Looking after your umbrella

Most damage comes from wind and from leaving the umbrella open when nobody is using it. Close it when the wind picks up and at night, use a protection cover when it is closed for a long time, and brush off dust and sand regularly. Read protecting your shades in rain and wind for more tips.
