Tensioned Shade Sail Installed in Dubai

This installation covers a narrow side passageway running between two villa buildings in Dubai. A tensioned shade sail in ivory fabric was fitted across the full length of the walkway, fixed to the building walls at multiple points to follow the curve of the passage.

The sail is made up of jointed panels, each pulled taut and connected with stainless steel fittings, giving a smooth, wind-resistant finish without sagging. The curved edges and tensioned corners create a tidy sail line while covering the pedestrian route and parking area beyond.

The finished canopy shades the walkway for both pedestrians and the parked vehicle, reducing direct sun exposure along this previously open passage.
