Tensioned Shade Sail Installed in Dubai Rooftop Plant Area

This rooftop houses a cluster of mechanical equipment, including air conditioning condenser units, a water tank and pump assembly, and associated pipework. A tensioned shade sail was installed over the area to reduce direct sun exposure on the equipment and the surrounding walkway.

The sail is anchored to the parapet wall and adjacent building structure using stainless steel fixings and turnbuckles, with corner points secured at height for a taut, stable finish. The Desert Sand fabric complements the surrounding render and provides broad overhead coverage across the full width of the plant area.

Positioned close to a rooftop access door, the shade sail also tempers heat gain at this entry point, making the space more comfortable to access and maintain.
